How to read these numbers
- Sources measure different things: US figures are median SOLD prices for the whole metro area; most European figures are ASKING prices for the city, and some are city-centre apartments only. Compare cities within the same basis.
- Asia, Middle East, Oceania and Africa figures are city-centre apartments (expensive districts), while most Latin American figures are new-build apartments or all listings in the city. Caribbean figures are median asking prices of apartments listed for sale.
- 1 m² = 10.764 ft². Currency conversion uses the latest European Central Bank reference rates (October 12, 2026).
- Prices change every month and vary a lot by neighborhood. Use these as a starting point, not an appraisal.
